Leeds life is an experience in itself. Its rich local history, world class sports venues, extensive shopping facilities and diverse programme of year-round entertainment are just some of the many things that make Leeds such a great place for all to enjoy.

The city was dubbed the ‘Knightsbridge of the North’ by the Lonely Planet Guide, and since Harvey Nichols opened their first store outside of London, the city has seen a host of designers eagerly opening stores and boutiques across the city.

Leeds is a shopaholic’s dream. From the elegant domed structure of the Corn Exchange to the exquisite Victoria Quarter and the endless mountain of goodies within Kirkgate Market, the city caters for all wants and needs. There are also plenty of opportunities to refuel with the wide variety of cafes and restaurants.

Leeds is not a city that stands still, as its skyline, currently adorned with cranes suggests. Like many cities, Leeds can be divided into various quarters – the Northern Quarter, the Corn Exchange and the two universities – each home to a range of venues that make a great night out in themselves but also merge to make Leeds one huge party town!

The city is just filled to bursting with great places to eat, with options ranging from cafes where you can get a quick cuppa and piece of cake, to exquisite restaurants for fine dining, all within easy reach.

Leeds is renowned for good nights out. As well as the usual high street suspects, the city has a fantastic array of independent bars and clubs.
